Evan Garnett had the best chance for the hosts when an errant back-pass put him through on goal but keeper James Wren was just about able to clear.
Sutton Coldfield took the lead after 58 minutes when James McGrady’s looping header was enough to beat Allsop.
Reece Gibson came close to doubling the lead after 69 minutes, but Long Eaton came back into the game 11 minutes later when James Taylor slipped under Wren.
