■ A HARD-fought match in blustery conditions saw Bridlington and Newton Aycliffe share the points.
The visitors started brightly but with nothing to show for it and it was Bridlington who took the lead in the 14th minute. Aycliffe’s defence failed to clear Olly Green’s corner and Ben Whelan was on hand to fire past Nathan Fisher.
Aycliffe had a chance of an immediate equaliser after good work by Joe Gibson on the right but the shot was wide.
