RUNCORN LINNETS 2 STALYBRIDGE CELT 2

STALYBRIDGE Celtic twice came from behind to snatch a draw with play-offs rivals Runcorn Linnets.

Ellis Horan’s cross skimmed off the head of Runcorn’s Dec McLoughlin and into the corner late on to keep Jon Macken’s men third in the table which would grant them home advantage in the play-offs semi-finals.
The hosts appeared on course for a precious victory when Scott Bakkor’s angled shot, after goalkeeper Charlie Monks parried sub James Steele’s initial effort, made it 2-1 shortly after the interval.
