■ game of the season Sutton entertained joint-league leaders Carlton Town who required to win to keep in with a chance of automatic promotion.
Sutton started brightly during the opening exchanges, as Town suffered a big blow when Niall Hylton was dismissed for throwing a punch after 26 minutes.
Ayomide Lekuti missed a great chance to put Sutton ahead soon after, when Reece Gibson centred a low pass across the goal but Lekuti couldn’t finish as the sides went
into the break even.
