■ edged out Loughborough courtesy of an early James Harding strike to leave them one point off the play-off places ahead of the final game of the season.
The goal came inside six minutes, striker Harding providing the finishing touch for an early lead.
Both teams found openings in a feisty first half but neither could capitalise, Josh Roddy’s strike over the bar proving the best effort in the opening 45 minutes.
