BOOTLE claimed victo-but it wasn’t enough ■ry to secure a play-off place. Mossley keeper Fin Madigan made a fantastic double save as Ben Hodkinson cut in on his left foot and fired a shot that Madigan denied; the keeper then thwarted Ste Edmondson’s follow-up.
Minutes later, Jay Roberts’ corner was met by Matty Fenton with a bullet header to give Bootle the lead.
