RUNCORN grabbed an injury time winner but despite their victory will have to settle for an away play-off fixture at Stalybridge Celtic.
Castle had the better of the first half with Cameron Dourish and Harry Bower both going close to putting their side ahead.
Runcorn took the lead from a penalty from Scott Bakkor that Joe Slinn looked to have saved, but the ball squirmed over the line.
Castle drew level when Karsten Cairns hooked a bouncing ball in off the post.
