■LOUGHBOROUGH
Students were able to school Basford on their own turf yesterday.
The game started quite end to end, but with no chances. The first goal of the game came for Loughborough through Matt Renie who slotted the ball home.
Fourteen minutes later, the hosts opened their account through Brad Gascoigne after a header at the far post was converted.
On the stroke of half-time, the Students got another as Alfie Lee saw them up at the break.
Both started the second half with chances, but Students were able to capitalise late on.
