BLYTH Spartans staged a remarkable late rally to salvage a point against Prescot Cables in a captivating 3-3 draw.
Both teams headed into the game chasing their first win in five games.
Cables seized the initiative early on – a solo run from Jack Goodwin allowed the winger to enter into the box uncontested before drilling a low effort past Adam Richardson.
Proceedings worsened for bottom side Blyth after a tug on the shirt of Michael Carberry from Ben Milburn was enough for the striker to go down inside the box.
