Hayes went ahead early on through an excellent Phil Appiah goal, before Rohdell Gordon went on a dazzling run through the middle to fire just over.
An inswinging corner eventually found the head of Spyros Mentis in a packed area, who doubled Hayes’ advantage.
Tommy Cooney found new signing Andy Ofosu with plenty of space to slot home past Liam Beech in the Fleet goal with 66 minutes on the clock.
