THIS match only went ahead after two pitch inspections, and with Stratford and St Ives boasting two of the best defensive records in the division it was always likely to be a tight affair.
And it turned out to be exactly that with both sides cancelling each other out throughout.
In an undistinguished first half Ross Oulton shot narrowly wide for Stratford while for the Saints, Danny Kelly shot straight at Stratford keeper Ross Etheridge and George Bailey volleyed over from a Ben Baker cross.
