THE return of star striker Jake Reed after about a year at Leiston was looked upon by Trawlerboys fans as the omen to signal a rise away from the bottom.
And the fans were sent into raptures as the prodigal son opened the scoring just past the half-hour to give Lowestoft a lead they wouldn’t lose.
Reed was forced to receive lengthy treatment just a few minutes earlier after receiving an ankle injury but he was still alert enough to hook the ball into the net with his back to goal after Shaun Bammant had knocked down an Adam Smith corner....
