POOLE faced promotion rivals Taunton in their first home league game for twoand- a-half months due to cup ties and weather postponements.
In a closely-fought encounter Taunton edged the game with a single goal from Andrew Neal which delighted manager Rob Dray, who saw it as a “season-defining” win.
Poole started the game the stronger with Jack Dickson’s shot spilled by Lloyd Irish, but Harry Baker failed to take advantage.
