DOUBLE FOR NEAL PUTS PEACOCKS ON EASY STREET

TAUNTON Town maintained fifth spot in the table with a solid if unspectacular win over the division’s bottom side Beaconsfield.
The first quarter was an uninspiring affair for the 499-strong crowd with neither side able to create a single chance before a cracking goal broke the deadlock after 26 minutes.
Taunton skipper Matt Wright hit a fine half-volley past Myles Bowman from the edge of the box.
Andrew Neal came close to extending the lead before the break while Ben Adelsbury cleared off the line from Jon-Jo Bates to thwart the visitors.
