ROVERS COME UP SHORT IN FIGHTBACK

BEDWORTH United survived a valiant second-half comeback by Barton Rovers to edge their mid-table encounter 3-2 in the BetVictor Southern Central Division.
The hosts started much the stronger of the two sides and took the lead after only nine minutes when a Luke Rowe corner was met by the head of Elliott Parrott to put the Greenbacks 1-0 up.
It didn’t take long for that lead to be doubled when a mix-up in the Rovers defence allowed Mitch Piggon to steal the ball and finish calmly past Niall Cooper in the Barton goal, and it was 3-0 inside 20 minutes...
