WHITES MAKE HARD WORK OF IT BEFORE BAGGING WIN

THE WHITES came out on top after a narrow 2-1 win over Merthyr Town but should really have taken the points more easily, even before the visitors were reduced to ten men on the hour when goalkeeper Alexander Harris collected a straight red card.
The hosts started well, having the majority of play early on but it would be the Martyrs who took a 16th minute lead against the run of play when when Lewis Binns was allowed to get to the byline and crossed to the near post for Owain Jones to convert easily.
