WHITCHURCH Alport held their nerve to down FA Cup kings Skelmersdale United 2-1 at squelchy Yockings Park.
The hosts should have scored twice in the opening eight minutes but Lyndon Campbell lashed wide of a gaping net and Alex Hughes scuffed at keeper Ben Barnes when free six yards out.
