CHRIS STEPS DOWN

GUILDFORD City boss Chris Balchin resigned after last Saturday’s Combined Counties Premier 5-2 defeat at Knaphill - his 150th game in charge of his hometown club.
The defeat left Guildford second from bottom.
Appointed in May 2017, Balchin also initiated the formation of the club’s under-23 side and had been involved in attracting sponsorship.
He said: “I feel it’s the right time for me to walk away from a club that I love dearly.
