BARNSTAPLE’S young team were soundly beaten despite taking the lead in the opening minute.
It was all downhill though after Rhys Thomas gave the visitors – with an average age of 19 – the lead.
Lewis Powell equalised for the home side after five minutes.
For the next 30 minutes the contest was fairly even, but once Matt Britton gave Larkhall the lead the floodgates opened with Sam Crumb, Britton and Tom Fry making it five before half-time.
