Paulton can count themselves a bit unlucky to have come away empty handed from this exciting duel with the league leaders.
An even first 20 minutes saw James Carey in the Frome goal make a save from Leighton Thomas, while a fast move between Chris Peck and Kane Simpson led to Jonathan Davies firing narrowly over the Paulton crossbar.
But on the half-hour mark, Simpson moved on to a pass from James Ollis and slid the ball past Aaron Sainsbury for Frome’s first goal.
