BEDFORD dominated the game from the start with their strong and direct brand of football, but it took until the 40th minute for them to make a breakthrough when defender Charley Sanders blasted home after a spell of pressure.
Shortly afterwards, the ever reliable Rene Howe won and converted a penalty, despite being initially flagged for offside, to put the Eagles two up at the break and it was no less than they deserved.
