■ BARNSTAPLE took the honours in a tight contest.
But it was Larkhall who struck first, with Lambert reacting to a shot that had cannoned off the upright.
Barnstaple hit back on the stroke half-time. Humphries saved from Jones following a corner, but the impressive Baker was on hand to pick the scraps from close range.
After the break, Lambert and Hiliard had late chances for the visitors, while The Larks were reduced to ten when Hilliard was shown a second yellow.
