■ KEMPSTON closed the gap on rivals Kidlington with a superb win in a vital clash at Hillgrounds.
A cross from Sam Johnson found Charlie Hayford who set up Tre Charles to volley into the top corner to put the hosts 1-0 up early on.
Then, 20 minutes later, Charles put Johnson through on the right and he cut on to his left foot and fired a shot into the Greens’ net.
The second half saw a lot of pressure from the visitors and, after a number of setpieces, Jack White scored from close range.
