■ WELWYN GC made it four wins on the trot, as they climb towards the upper reaches of the Div 1 Central table, with this fairly comfortable victory over out-of-form Thame United.
The Citizens were on top from early on and ahead when Max Jessop glanced Cheyce Grant’s fine, slanted cross into the far corner after eight minutes. Thame responded immediately, David Pearce striking a home post before WGC doubled their lead just before the half-hour, keeper Ed Breary beating out a Grant shot, only for Carlos Flood to return it into the net.
