EVESHAM United overcame a tough test in the form of Paulton Rovers, courtesy of goals from Owen James and Dan Griffiths.
The hosts took the majority of the first-half to find the back of the net, but, come the 43rd-minute, Owen James’ strike handed Evesham the lead. The goal seemed to wake the visitors up, however, who found an instant reply through Leo Eglin to draw the scores level at the break.
The equaliser didn’t stop Evesham in their tracks though, with Griffiths scoring what proved to be the winning goal in the 65th-minute.
