■ SKIPPER Tom Coles scored the only goal of the game as Biggleswade FC ground out a hard-fought win over Welwyn Garden City.
The hosts made the breakthrough after 33 minutes when Adam Hunt got on the end of a fine pass into the right channel by Lawrie Marsh. His pinpoint cross from the byline was headed home by Coles, unmarked at the far post.
While FC were the better side in the first period, the Citizens certainly enjoyed the better of the second and would have gone away disappointed not to have salvaged at least a draw with the hosts ind...
