INagame of few clear-cut chances, high-flying Totton managed to secure a win against a determined Paulton defence, for whom captain Neil Martin, Mike Ilea, Nick Hewlett, and Dan Restorick were outstanding.
In the first half, Totton, supremely orchestrated by defensive midfielder Michael Carter, enjoyed the lion’s share of possession, but failed to cause Aaron Sainsbury, in the home goal, any real problems.
