IT was a costly afternoon for play-off contenders Bashley, who dropped two vital points on a day when the top five all won.
Exmouth snuffed out Bashley in the first half, then took a well-deserved lead soon after the break. After 51 minutes, dangerman Aarron Denny latched onto a hit-and-hope through ball that Bashley’s defence misjudged in the strong sun. Denny ran on alone and cut in from the left to beat Ross Casey with a cross-shot.
