SAM Meakes hit the winner as Frome Town eventually broke down the Slimbridge resistance.
The first half had an endof-season feel to it with both sides creating few goalscoring chances in the sunshine at Thornhill Park. Home keeper Lewis Adams made a couple of saves to keep the sides level at half-time.
Frome controlled much of the second period and scored midway through the half, Meakes poking the ball home at the back post after Adams had tipped a shot onto the bar.
