RICKY Johnson’s second-half header maintained Evesham’s push for a play-off spot as they edged past Bideford.
The hosts edged the first half, with Ben Gerring heading an effort wide, Joe Charles and Javan Wright firing shots over and Charlie Madden seeing a header saved by Fraser Barnsley.
In reply, Evesham’s Jack Hallahan saw his shot sail over the bar.
