SPORTS TAKE ON BARNES

MICKLEOVER have added former Southampton striker Marcus Barnes to their squad following a successful trial.
Barnes, who also turned out for Oldham Athletic and Yeovil Town, netted twice in the Premier Division Central club’s opening pre-season friendly at Borrowash Victoria.
Manager John Mc-Grath said: “Marcus is a player who will add great athleticism and speed to our front line.
“He’s an exceptionally talented footballer who we believe has the ability to play higher up the football divisions.”
