STOTFOLD made life hard for Bedford, but just fell short of taking points from the unbeaten league leaders.
With chances for both sides, the Bedford Eagles took the lead on 36 minutes when Adam Watkins put in a deep cross, and Alex Collard headed home from close range.
During the half, Henry Snee was twice denied by the visiting keeper, Mark Smith, but Robbie Buchanan came closest when he couldn’t direct a cross into an empty net.
