MET POLICE took just 57 seconds to get their season upand- running and the Surrey-based outfit had their first points of the season in the bag within half-anhour.
Lloyd Macklin gave the Met their lightning start when he toepoked left-back Tom Bird’s cross past Worthing keeper Lucas Covolan.
The lead was doubled after seven minutes with a goal nearly identical to the first.
Will Salmon’s cross from the opposite flank to Bird’s found Ryan James who controlled the ball neatly and finished on the turn into the bottom corner.
