MERSTHAM came from behind twice to salvage a share of the spoils from a scrappy affair.
Dan Bennett’s 85th-minute shot denied Tooting’s Terrors their first win of the campaign.
And the Moatsiders were only denied victory themselves by late saves from the visitors’ goalkeeper Kyle Merson.
The first half contained plenty of endeavour, but little quality as both sides struggle to create anything of note.
