TOMMY Wade’s lightning- quick reactions helped Hertford Town scrape a 1-1 draw on their visit to Bowers and Pitsea.
Both sides took time to discover their rhythm, but it was the home team who made the important breakthrough when Lewis Manor slotted home.
Tony Stokes broke from midfield to cross the ball to Stephen Thomas, who chested the ball down in the area for Manor to score.
But Hertford responded when a cross from Tyler Hatherly was saved and Wade was the first to react and level the scores.
