■DALE Johnson hit an 84th-minute screamer to secure the points for the Hillmen.
The experienced striker controlled a long ball 20 yards out, spun and fired a low piledriver past Will Kitchen to give the Hillmen the win.
Matthew Russell’s shot against the post was the best effort of an uninspiring first half, but shortly after the break Kendal took the lead after Adam Jones’ clean-looking tackle was adjudged a foul in the box. Robert Bonman netted the spot-kick.
