An Ashley Jarvis brace gave Dereham a two-goal lead But the visitors pulled a goal back after the break, with Alan Taylor netting from close range after Jay Knight had struck the bar.
But the hosts responded within minutes when Jarvis played in Gatting to score.
However, Barking reduced the deficit minutes later through a deadly Jay Knight finisdh before Capela scored a late leveller.
