■ MERSTHAM had to settle for their fifth draw in succession after a disappointing match. Police deserved their point, but they had to thank their keeper Luke Williams, who made several fine saves in the closing stages of the game to get his side out of jail.
For all their early dominance, Merstham failed to create clear goal-scoring opportunities.
Gradually the Mest got the threat of Alex Addai under control and the first half was a pretty forgettable affair, with the ball in the air far too much for Merstham’s liking.
