A GOAL in each half maintained Basford’s unbeaten run. James Reid gave them the lead a minute from half-time, scoring from close range.
Earlier Peterborough had a golden chance but Mark Jones fired over a penalty after Ash Grayson’s foul. And they put Basford under sustained pressure.
Liam Hearn doubled the lead after 64 minutes, taking a pass from Reid to score with a composed finish from 12 yards. Hearn was then unlucky as his shot came back off the bar.
