■TOOTING’s FOURGOAL second-half blitz blew Thurrock away, but only because their keeper Matte Pierson made a gamechanging save just after the break with the game still scoreless.
Mike Dixon had two good early efforts for Tooting, Meanwhile, at the other end former Tooting striker Charlie Stimson had a goalbound effort well saved by Pierson.
On the stroke of halftime, Dixon put Isaiah Jones through on goal but Jones fired just wide.
Two minutes after the break, Pierson made the save of the match to deny Thurrock’s Stimson for the second time.
