MARCUS ELLIOT could hardly have had a better return from injury after salvaging a point for East Grinstead.
The striker found the net just five minutes from time to bring to an end a six-goal thriller.
Laurent Mendy headed Thamesmead in front, with the equaliser coming from an own goal before Bode Anidgube’s deflected effort for the visitors.
Danny Parish made it 3-1 before East Grinstead had a lifeline thanks to Jordy Mongoy in the 67th minute before Elliot’s dramatic late leveller.
