NORTHWOOD notched their first win in seven games in an entertaining affair at Chestnut Avenue.
Harry Newman opened the scoring on 15 minutes following a miscued clearance from keeper Chris Harris. And Harris was struggling again as he parried Wilson Chingoka’s long- range shot, which had enough momentum to cross the line to give Woods a second goal on 24 minutes.
Hartley Wintney reduced the arrears when Callum Eagle converted from close range before Woods’ debutant keeper Xavi Comas saved Dean Stowe‘s penalty.
