WHITES’ DELIGHT AT LATE HEROICS

SALISBURY scored a late winner through substitute Claudio Herbert to secure victory at Cirencester. The home side had two quickfire opportunities, with Aidan Bennett and Ben Whitehead going close.
But Salisbury drew first blood when Danny Young fired home in the 14th minute. Henry Spalding equalised for the Centurions in the 26th minute with a low shot past goalkeeper Charlie Seale.
It was midfielder Aaron Dawson who responded astutely after the break to put the visitors ahead, but Bennett drew level once again for Cirencester soon after.
