LOCAL businessman Paul Tomkins has bought Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division outfit Worksop Town.
Tomkins has become chairman, replacing Jason Clark whose shares he bought. In turn, Clark has written off the debt that the Tigers owed him. The club were founder members of Conference North, but financial difficulties have dogged them for the past decade. Money troubles around 2007 saw them lose their Sandy Lane home and groundshare elsewhere.
