SOUTH Shields continued their impressive form to stay top of the Evo-Stik NPL North with a 2-1 win over Droylsden.
Two early goals were enough to secure victory, despite a late consolation from the hosts in the 87th minute.
Graeme Armstrong scored within two minutes of kick-off, blasting the ball through the keeper’s legs.
The league leaders added another after 23 minutes as Dillon Morse headed home a cross. Droylsden managed a late consolation when Ciaran Kilheeney nodded in a Luke Daly centre.
