GREENWICH Borough suffered a shock defeat at home to VCD Athletic, losing 3-1 at DGS Marine Stadium to drop to fifth place.
VCD capitalised on the home side’s flat performance, with Alfie Cue, Junior Baker and Warren Mfula netting three goals before halftime.
The visitors whipped a free-kick in from the left which was punched away by Greenwich keeper Michael McEntegart, but it fell to Cue who drove it home through a crowded box on 16 minutes.
Baker doubled the lead, connecting with a corner to head in freely from the six-yard box on 30 minutes.
