■MERSTHAM’S recent run of results has been as sunny as yesterday’s weather. But yesterday’s game was an altogether more overcast affair, and Tonbridge Angel Daniel Thompson added to the Specsavers Stadium gloom with his winner midway through the second half.
The visitors had themselves won their previous two games.
But despite both sides’ good form coming into yesterday afternoon, the game itself didn’t live up to the billing.
