David Howarth opened the scoring for the home side on 28 minutes, before Callum Coyle added another three minutes later.
Cleethorpes responded on 41 minutes when Brody Robertson finished off a good move to reduce the deficit.
Two minutes into the second half, Cleethorpes mounted a dangerous counter attack, culminating in Danny North scoring with a curling left-footed effort.
