■ THURROCK put their off-field worries behind them as they thrashed basement club Burgess Hill.
Charlie Stimson, son of manager Mark Stimson, bagged himself a brace as Thurrock gained a vital three points in a week where it was confirmed they are up for sale and manager Stimson said there would be “no more Thurrock FC” next season.
Despite dominating, it took Fleet half an hour to open the scoring with Ronnie Winn eventually finding the opening goal to break the deadlock. And just before the interval, the lead was doubled with Lewis Spence netting.
