DESPITE both teams pushing for the win, Town ran out winners to inflict a first away defeat on the Stags since October.
Against the run of play AFC Totton took the lead when Charlie Gunson shot across the keeper and saw his effort fly in off the post.
But two minutes into the second period Josh Key, sent a super strike into the far top corner of the goal to level.
Steven Reed rattled the Totton crossbar with a free-kick before the home side got the winner.
